Feature Shoot, Burn Magazine and more interviews

Just came across a new to me blog called Feature Shoot.
The purpose of the blog is to serve as a resource for photo editors, art directors, and other industry professionals to discover new photographic talent. We interview and showcase the work of up-and-coming American photographers alongside that of established photographers who have completed a project or whose work has taken on a new direction.
Judging by the interviews and photographers already featured it looks like it’ll be a nice resource for finding fresh inspiration.
I also finally took the time to check out David Alan’s Harvey new blog/zine called Burn.
What I found most interesting wasn’t the work but the range of diverse comments in response to the essays. Photographers can really be a fickle and bitter bunch. We look and act like a bunch of baboons at times, but I guess that’s what happens when people of all backgrounds and skill levels mingle.
I’ve also spent some time catching up on my RSS feeds and enjoyed these recent interviews of Donald Weber on dvafoto, a nice interview with freelancer Josh Ritchie on APAD, and to wrap things up an interview with Dave Jordano.
I came across Dave’s work for the first time earlier this winter and really loved what I saw. See for yourself on his website. I especially enjoyed his Articles of Faith project and The Prairieland series.
